Building partnerships that make a real and lasting change
Updated 13th February 2002

BTCV helps people protect those things that make villages, towns, cities and countryside special. Working in partnership with landowners , they offer volunteer led conservation management services. BTCV also provides the practical know-how that enables people to look after and improve their environment. Volunteers from all sections of the community undertake conservation work. Some examples include developing a community garden, managing a local nature reserve, coppicing, maintaining footpaths, or running recycling schemes.

. .

By joining BTCV's local group membership scheme, communities can receive the long term support that helps make their projects truly sustainable. Three out of four local authorities in the UK have worked with BTCV. No project is too large or too small. BTCV's 130 offices throughout the UK provide a point of contact for local authorities, and an invaluable source of advice and volunteers.
