Whittaker's No 2 Bridge
The surviving accommodation
bridge is sandwiched between two railway bridges. The near abutments
belong to the demolished span that carried the Manchester to
Bolton line over the canal. The other bridge abutments just out
of shot belong to the span that carried the Bury to Bolton line
over the canal. |
